The real joy was taking our son, Brian,and his wife, DeAnne, on their first trip to Europe in 1995. DeAnne was now teaching French. Everyone picked two places they must see. We used the Rick Steves' guide book. Bill worked out a route and schedule. Jola picked out places to stay and we were ready to go. We arrived in Paris where we toured many museums. Paris was a central meeting point for Douglas and his family in 1999 when we both vacationed in Europe.



	With Brian and DeAnne, we picked up our rental car on Bastille day. From there we toured the Alps staying at Chamonix. Arles and Carcassonne were outstanding. We continued west to the ocean. From Branville we visited Mont St. Michel and Normandy D-Day Beaches. After returning Brian and DeAnne to Paris, we continued east. We stayed at Le Chateau d’Etoges near Mountmort-Lucy. Sampled the wine near Colmar. Then returned the car in Frankfurt, where we boarded a plane for the return flight home.
