Pacific Northwest, USA & Canada '97 Vacation is probably one of the benefits of your job. With the vacation policy change I had two years of vacation to take in one year. We took it, others did not. It takes lots of preplanning to be gone 5 weeks. We concluded you should take a break on long vacations. We visited many National Parks and natural areas in the NW: Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier & Waterton International Parks, Banff, Yoho, Jasper, Olympic, Mt Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Columbia River, Mt Hood, John Day, Hells Canyon, and Craters of the Moon. | ||
| Prince Edward Island, Canada '00 represents retirement as it was the first time we could travel in the fall when school was in session. It is a toll for the island. We took the ferry over and the bridge back for a loop. We visited the Laurel Ingle Museum. Retirement is when you are able to do what you have postponed. | |||
| Peru '04 with the visit to Mauch Picchu fulfilled a dream. Wow! I had seen pictures but could not imagine that such a place existed. It does and the visit is more impressive than the pictures for us. | |||
