Pacific Northwest, USA & Canada '97 Vacation is probably one of the benefits of your job. With the vacation policy change I had two years of vacation to take in one year. We took it, others did not. It takes lots of preplanning to be gone 5 weeks. We concluded you should take a break on long vacations. We visited many National Parks and natural areas in the NW: Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier & Waterton International Parks, Banff, Yoho, Jasper, Olympic, Mt Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Columbia River, Mt Hood, John Day, Hells Canyon, and Craters of the Moon.

Prince Edward Island, Canada '00 represents retirement as it was the first time we could travel in the fall when school was in session. It is a toll for the island. We took the ferry over and the bridge back for a loop. We visited the Laurel Ingle Museum. Retirement is when you are able to do what you have postponed.

Peru '04 with the visit to Mauch Picchu fulfilled a dream. Wow! I had seen pictures but could not imagine that such a place existed. It does and the visit is more impressive than the pictures for us.
